Origami Folds and the New It Micro Bag

Origami folding techniques are used in fashion industry and as seen on Issey Miyake, Chanel, and Junya Watanable, origami detail is continually evolving and it is one of the key trends for Fall/Winter 2015-2016. Sometimes the runway trends can be difficult to work into our everyday wardrobes; here I'm showing you how to rock this trend with totally wearable pieces without feeling overwhelmed.

I'm wearing the A-line dress with origami detail and the origami inspired coat with oversized silhouette from Jiaxin Xu's Fall 2015 collection. Jiaxin Xu showcased her collection during World MasterCard Fashion Week this past October. I'm obsessed with her collections as she incorporated origami folds into her design which adds three-dimensional texture to the garments.

To complete this ensemble, I'm carrying a mini bag with pompom which adds a pop of colour to the neutral outfit. This ultra-tiny bag is super chic and yet functional since it fits my daily essentials. The bag is from Strathberry and their MC Nano bag has made it on to Vogue Magazine's official It Bag list.
