Brand Focus: Céline Fall 2014

The Céline Fall 2014 show was an example of androgynous fashion with a twist. It was all about the structure and menswear-inspired tailoring with a feminine touch. The coats really caught my eye.

The first looks featured a set of calf length black coats with white buttons. The tailoring drew inspiration from silhouettes of the 1930s. Phoebe Philo knows how to define her style and pays attention to details. The looks on the catwalk were all put together. With a background in menswear designing, Phoebe defines the label's style with a touch of masculine elements in the collection. A fit and flare tailoring gives the coat a feminine feel. It combines both the fashion taste of power and sensuality.

The collection also featured all kinds of oversized coats with non-fitted waist and long sleeves. Phoebe has been experimenting with different kinds of fabrics. The coats were textured with checks patterns, fringes, and calf hair in leopards parttern. The design seems comes naturally. The models looked effortlessly chic in the ensembles.
